
Jimmie B. Strong serves as an Advisor to Horizon Capital, bringing extensive experience as transactional counsel, business advisor, and operator across private equity, venture capital, family offices, and high-growth enterprises. He is the President of The Advisory Incorporated, where he supports investors, entrepreneurs, and talent with the legal, strategic, and operational infrastructure required to protect, manage, and scale complex business endeavors.
Through The Advisory, Jimmie provides transactional counsel and business advisory services to a broad range of clients—including venture capital funds, private equity funds, family offices, athletes, entertainers, and founders—often acting as a strategic connector between capital, operators, and opportunity. From an investment standpoint, he specializes in private equity and venture capital fund formation and supports fund management initiatives for multiple clients. In sports and entertainment, he has advised high-profile talent and helped deliver curriculum and career development programs for collegiate athletic departments and student-athletes.
Prior to founding The Advisory, Jimmie served as General Counsel of Rally Network, Inc., a platform focused on enabling creators to build digital economies. He previously served as Chief Legal Officer of Rosmar USA, Inc., where he supported the U.S. expansion of Grupo Rosmar, a long-established Mexico City-based disinfecting and sanitization company. Earlier in his career, Jimmie practiced at Baker Donelson, advising clients across mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, and corporate finance and securities.
In addition to his legal work, Jimmie is a serial entrepreneur and active investor. He is a partner in ESQ Agency, a talent management firm representing athletes and creators, and serves as President of Elite Construction Contractors & Design, a construction management company focused on commercial projects and experience-driven residential developments. He also holds equity interests in companies spanning healthcare, construction innovation, and high-growth technology ventures.
Jimmie graduated from Morehouse College as Valedictorian and earned his JD from Harvard Law School, where he received the Paul C. Weiler Sports & Entertainment Law Award. He teaches Sports Law at Vanderbilt Law School as an adjunct professor. He also serves on the Board of Directors of PRSM Healthcare and MMCV, Inc., a venture capital investment holding company and wholly owned subsidiary of Meharry Medical College. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Jimmie is known for a relationship-driven approach to building platforms, aligning stakeholders, and unlocking opportunities that create lasting value.
